Today I offer these words, born from a new-found respect and understanding of the constantly shifting and unfolding dimensions of the reality we experience. Of the life-altering difference a split second can make in the manifestation of that reality.
I was not on the phone when my truck crashed the other day. Had I been even slightly distracted, my braking delayed by an iota of a moment, the truck that hit me would have plowed into my door rather than the wheel and engine block. The outcome would have been drastically different.
So today I share this wake-up call with you.
Just Don't
When you're flying down the road
in a tin can
at 50, 60, 70 miles per hour
and your phone rings?
Just Don't
When you're in the tapestry of city traffic
and your flying tin can of the weave
moves, just inches away,
from the flying tin can of the weft
in a precise shuttle's dance
and that text comes in?
Just Don't
The evolutionary leaps in our lives
happen in a flash.
A unique strobe-light pattern
showing the stutter-step path of our journey.
Don't miss it.
Don't miss that flash, the call to attention.
The split second that determines:
Do I stay?
Do I leave?
What do I see?
What do I hear?
Don't miss it.
Just Don't
Hear my voice in your ear when you reach for the phone while driving. And just don't.
With love and respect,
Zardoya
